Wow!  Do you guys think I've fallen off the face of the earth?  I can't believe it has been so long since I posted to my blog, but then too, who has wanted to go outside for a photo shoot in the weather we've had recently?  I can't wait for Spring because I'm really starting to miss shooting all the time!

This is the Payne family.  You've seen some of them here before, but this time they met up with me after Christmas and brought the WHOLE family.  And no, they're not related me to me, but I wouldn't mind if they were because I always have a GREAT time hanging out with them!!!

The Ryer Family at Getzendaner Park - Waxahachie, Texas

Seriously cute family!!!  AND, it was someone's 1st birthday.  I brought along balloons for the birthday boy, but he was definitely more interested in running around the park.  Honestly, I can't blame him.  Of all the things you get on your birthday, balloons are probably the LEAST exciting.  Cake.  Now THAT's the best part of a birthday!!!

He's gonna break some hearts with those eyes!!!

The Wilcken Kids - Getzendaner Park - Waxahachie

I took this family's group pictures last fall, so their mom wanted some single shots of each kid.  I think it's a great idea, sometimes, to break them down into two sessions.  One, so that you can spread out the investment a little (because we all know it's hard to choose which images you want to purchase!), and two, because kids don't always love having portraits made all that much.  Shocking, I know!  :)

 

The Stanley Family

I met up with this family early last weekend at Getzendaner Park in Waxahachie.  That's such a great park. If you've never been it's definitely a must-see.  And if you see me, stop and say HI!  :)

Anyway, we had a great time, even after the little one did a slight face-plant into the sticky weeds.  It's hard being little and new to the whole sitting-up thing!!!  But we persevered, and I think their very first family pictures turned out great.  Such a cute family!!  And their very first Mother's/Father's Days are coming up soon!  :)

I love all these little girls I've had lately.  Get's me ready for this summer and the twin nieces I'm getting in a few months!!!  So much fun!!!
 

The Lewis Family

Some of my families I already know when they schedule a session.  And the ones I don't know, well, I never know what to expect.  Will they be uncomfortable?  Will they like me?  Will they get "into it" and have fun??  Seriously, I stress out about it!!  It's really like a first, blind, date.  With the Lewis family - I didn't need to worry AT ALL.  When a little boy jumps out of the car, shakes your hand, and starts talking 90-to-nothing, I KNOW it will be a fun shoot.  And it was!!!  Plus, the whole family is SO STINKIN' CUTE!! 

I took so many pictures it was really, really hard to narrow it down, but here are a few of my faves:

This one is a little bit of an outtake - but I LOVE IT because of the way she is looking at him. I imagine he gets that look a lot!  :)

I have about 100 pictures of different expressions from this one.  SO FUNNY!!!!!!!  

  

Easter Pictures - Little "E"

Met this cute little guy at Getzendaner in Waxahachie for some fun Easter pics.  He was NOT all that into me chasing him around with a big black box, but I managed to get some super cute pictures!  And I'm a little envious of his shoes.......so cute!!

The Reed Family

Here's another of my AWESOME Midlothian families!!  With all the snow over the winter, Getzendaner Park in Waxahachie has definitely undergone some changes in the tree department.  It's great for me, because it's one of my favorite places to shoot, but not so great for the park department.  Or the wonderful old trees!

The Johnson Family

I had so much fun with this couple!!!  They're super funny and totally game for anything, even if they DID have to go home and nap afterwards.  There will be an addition to their family come next month - a little GIRL addition - and I'm 100% positive they will make AMAZING parents. 

I looooooooooove the light in this one!!!

Awwwww.................they're so sweet!!!!!!!  I can't wait to meet baby "C" next month!!!!!
