This session was scheduled by a guy wanting to have his girlfriend's kids photographed as a gift to her. How great is that?! Such a good idea, and really it's one that any mom would love. Guys, you don't have to even be all super-sneaky like he did and already HAVE the session because even just a gift-certificate would be perfect. Keep it in mind for Mother's Day!

This was another one of my "rescheduled for rain" sessions. Thank goodness it doesn't happen very often (I think I only had three this entire year). Another interesting addition to this session was Toby, the dog. Such a cutie, but completely uninterested in me and anything I would to to try and get his attention. lol Luckily, I brought my helper (my son) along just for this purpose. LOVE family pictures that include the pets!!!!!

What was up with daylight savings this year???!! I hope it's not this late next year, because that really messes up my schedule!!! Despite having to reschedule the first session due to rain, and the time change sucking up our daylight hours, we still managed to have a GREAT session.

I had so much fun with these girls. I'm also really glad that women my age aren't expected to wear skinny jeans. lol I really love photographing teenagers. They're so much fun and creative and I love how they have their little packs of friends they do everything with. I miss that as a "grownup".
Anyway, this group of girls came to hang out with me because they wanted some photos of themselves together for the school yearbook. I did the same thing for Ashley's big sister and HER friend last year, so it was fun to continue the tradition.
They're all so pretty!!!!!! Loved hanging out with you girls! Hope you have a great 8th grade year. :)
I have known this girl since we were 5 and in preschool together. We became best friends in junior high, and were pretty close to inseparable all through high school. I'm not sure I have more than a handful of teenage memories that don't include her in them. And it cracks me up everytime I get a chance to hang out with her because no matter whether it's been 5 years or 5 weeks, it's JUST like we're still in high school together.

Do these kids look familiar to you?? I first met them waaaaaay back in May of '09. That seems like AGES ago!! Well they're a little more grown up now, and just as cute, and I had so much fun hanging out with them in the park.

I took this family's group pictures last fall, so their mom wanted some single shots of each kid. I think it's a great idea, sometimes, to break them down into two sessions. One, so that you can spread out the investment a little (because we all know it's hard to choose which images you want to purchase!), and two, because kids don't always love having portraits made all that much. Shocking, I know! :)

I just LOVED the outfits their mom brought for their session. PERFECT. In fact, I'd really like to get one of those gray skirts for myself, even though I wouldn't even be half as cute in it as these two.

I'm still right in the middle of editing this session from last week, but I couldn't resist showing you guys this one.
I mean, SERIOUSLY?! Don't you want to just put her in your pocket and take her home?! She could not have cared LESS about me too; she just wanted to dance around and pick flowers and leaves. SO CUTE!!!!! And I can't wait to show you the rest because she has a sister who is equally as cute. Although since it's an OLDER sister, I should probably say "pretty" instead. :)
The outfits their mom brought along are the #1 reason why I'm glad I have a boy. Because I'd go broke buying clothes! And shoes! And hair bows!
I'ave had the chance to shoot lots of different, new places this summer, and the Ft. Worth Botanical Gardens was one of the ones I was most excited about. Most especially because this AMAZING family wanted to use the Japanese Gardens for their session. If you haven't been there, you should totally go. There IS an entrance fee, but it's 100% worth it. And it's only about a 30 minute drive from Midlothian, so it doesn't take forever to get there either.
Great family!!! They were so much fun too. We were all hot and sweaty by the end, but we were all cracking up almost the entire time. LOVE THAT!!!!
