I grew up in College Station, and have known this family since I was a little girl, so it was so exciting to get to travel down there to shoot this wedding. I haven't had a chance to edit all the photos, so here's just a small sneak peek.

This weekend I got the chance to second-shoot a wedding with my friend Sarah in Alvord, Texas. I've never had the chance to shoot with her before and it was a TON of fun. Plus, I had the chance to use some different cameras and lenses, which was great, but unfortunately made my equipment wish list MUCH longer.

I had so much fun shooting this wedding. Beautiful flowers, beautiful church, and a couple that was so much in love. What more could you ask for???
It's not really unusual for a photographer to be asked to only take pictures from the balcony. And honestly? I don't mind too much because look at the view!!

I really can't say enough about the Ranch Steakhouse. It's a great venue for a small reception or rehearsal dinner and the management is extremely accomodating. Very neat atmosphere too!!! And the flowers and table decorations were GORGEOUS!!!!! I'd bathe in that shade of peach/orange/tangerine if I could. I know, too much information. Sorry! lol
I think the thing that is most surprising about being a photographer, and especially a wedding photographer, is how close you tend to become to your clients. I think it's one of my most favorite parts of my job. And it's a part that I'm not sure happens very often with other professions. You truly make some wonderful friends, and Chris and Liz are no exception.
The kissing went on a little too long according to some of the wedding party.....
I live, literally, 100 yards away from this little church. It was so much fun to finally get to go inside AND shoot a wedding there.

I had so much fun at this wedding, but I could have predicted that when I saw the DJ's playlist (and found out about the open bar). You've probably seen this couple before when I blogged their engagement session, and I just LOVE their story.
I believe this is the part in the ceremony where the officiant (also the bride's brother-in-law) quoted Beyonce. I mean, how fabulous is that?! Why yes, he DID put a ring on it!!!
The bride's son joined them in lighting the unity candle. Such a perfect symbol of their new family!!! I loved that they included this, and I'll admit to getting a little teary. What a sap!!! :)
They even had a signature cocktail. I SO should have claimed the rings "fell in" and had a taste.......
I DID, however, have some cake. SO GOOD!!! And I love that a piece of each cake (and a strawberry!) was on each plate. Probably should have photographed it, but I was too busy EATING it. YUM!!! Erin, if you are reading this, comment with the name of the bakery these cakes came from!
I love the way she looks at people she loves........like her dad here.

I LOVE this couple!!! I think we literally spent HOURS at pre-wedding meetings, just talking about random stuff. They're totally one of those couples that you can just TELL are perfect for each other. They're so great and I'm so honored and happy that they chose me (ME!) to shoot their wedding.
